About the event
Join SHP Beds of Montgomery Village for a fun afternoon building beds for children in need. No experience, no worries! This event is designed with everyone in mind. SHP welcomes people of all skill levels and there is a job for everyone. They will have a trained team of volunteers on hand to help you through the process. On Saturday May 18, volunteers will help to assemble beds for families in need throughout Montgomery County. Plan to arrive at 10:30AM for prayer and instructions!
WHAT TO KNOW:
- Be at the warehouse by 10:30 AM - 4635 Wedgewood Blvd. Frederick, MD 21703
- Check in will be at the back loading dock, with Stephanie Mitchell and the Sleep In Heavenly Peace crew.
- Volunteers will be broken into teams to assemble beds.
- Plan to dress comfortably, with closed toed shoes, and your GREEN SERVE DAY SHIRT if possible.
- Please plan to bring a bagged lunch or snacks and a water bottle.
- PLEASE NOTE: NO Childcare will be provided during this outreach. Children under 18 are welcome to participate at their parent/guardian's discretion. Please note that this Outreach Event will involve lifting/carrying some items, as well as sanding, drilling holes, and staining. Children under 18 will need to be under direct parent/guardian supervision.
- Look to be there until around 2:30PM.
