GO Church Family,

Because the weather forecast remains wildly unpredictable, we have made the decision to cancel all in-person gatherings at all campuses this weekend.

These decisions are never easy. We filter them through a series of guidelines—including safety, practicality, and pastoral care—and in this case, wisdom leads us to prioritize protection over possibility.

Additionally, because each of our campuses is located in a region currently impacted by winter weather advisories or alerts, with conditions that vary by location but remain unpredictable—especially overnight and into the morning hours—it is best for us to pivot from in-person gatherings this weekend. We have also received direct guidance from a reputable Atlanta meteorologist that “canceling is recommended—better safe than sorry.”

We understand that by mid-day tomorrow, South Metro Atlanta may experience warmer temperatures and rain. However, the real potential for overnight ice and unpredictable road conditions makes this too uncertain to responsibly navigate. Even a light glaze of ice can make parking lots, sidewalks, and entryways unsafe.

We encourage you to take time to worship, pray, and enjoy being together as a family. Let this be a day of intentional connection and rest—a true Sabbath.
