28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?”
29 Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.”
Here Paul is standing before Agrippa and on trial for his life. His next breath is at stake in this moment yet Paul remains absolutely committed to preaching the Gospel on whatever stage he is invited to. Even the last portion of his response is a testimony that there is more to life than what these guys have experienced, a life without chains to sin.
When I read that it encouraged me that even moments that don’t seem like ideal times to share my faith, are still ideal times to share my faith. God’s call for us to reach the world doesn't stop because of our circumstances. The call of God remains the call regardless of the battle. I had to ask the Lord to remind me of the finish line of this race of faith I find myself in.
Lord let me see the value of the moment I am in. Everyday I pray you open my eyes to opportunities to share my faith, even with those who may be out to persecute me. Strengthen me Lord to live as a living witness for you!
